![]() Don't get Pentosin ++ (that is for German cars), get the Pentosin A1 if you want that brand. Pentosin A1 was almost as cheap (in price) as the Beck /Arnley. The store didn't even have the Zerex Asian vehicle formula (it's pre-mix anyways, so I don't want that). I went with the Beck/Arnley red because it is cheaper than the other ones. The correct color is red, but as long as the ingredients are correct then the color does not matter. The most important thing is that it must be chemically the same as what I listed above. I would not use any other coolant other than the ones I mentioned above. There is also another brand, Pentosin A1, which is made in Germany but is for Asian vehicles. Another brand is Zerex Asian vehicle formula coolant, but I think it only comes in pre-mix, which is expensive (I'd rather have the concentrate and mix it myself). The color differences are only for marketing and ease of use and identification of coolant. The big secret is that all four colors are really exactly the same except that red and green are concentrates and pink and blue are pre-mixed (pre-diluted). The exact one specified for Toyotas would be the RED coolant. Another brand of coolant is Beck/Arnley coolant (comes in four colors: red, pink, green, & blue). The concentrate is more cost effective and you would mix it with distilled water. They have one that is concentrated and one that is pre-diluted. One, of course, is to use the Toyota coolant. I have only found a few coolants that satisfy these requirements. ![]() The Asian engineers are VERY particular about what they require. Antifreeze/Coolants Auto Transmission Fluid & Dual Clutch Fluid Hydraulic Fluids CVT Fluid. Most radiator coolants/anti-freeze will NOT satisfy these requirements. Found the perfect Beck/Arnley part for your favorite foreign vehicle but not sure where to buy it Use our product locator and store locator to find a retail location with your part right here. Basically, the Japanese engineers want their coolants to be phosphated-OAT (HOAT) with no silicates, no borates or amines, and no 2-EH/2-EHA. That being said, your shop may have installed the wrong coolant. I concluded that the ingredients of the coolant are more important than the color. Beck/Arnley offers a broad range of premium Steering, Suspension, and Driveline parts that meet OE specifications for form, fit and function.
